Online meetings
I have participated in a couple live webinars and a couple archived ones. Today I participated in the archived webinar on Illuninar and found it very informative. This is a great way to save our most important commodity -- time! We don't have to travel to a workshop when we can attend via our computers.
Flickr

Got the photos from my laptop loaded into Flickr and organized by set. Great place to store photos for backup in case of computer problems and to be able to access from any computer!
I'm home on a snow day, so I can't take a photo of my library, so I'm going to try to post one of our moving process and how WONDERFUL those reusable bags were for prepping for the move and then actually moving with volunteers doing the muscle work. The slips of paper on each bag have the call number range of the books in the bag to keep bags in order; slips were later stapled to top edge so they wouldn't be knocked off as easily as with tape.
Learning to RSS -- SCORE!
I'm a couple weeks behind on the 23ThingsKansas assignments but have a snow day from school today and hope to catch up!
I just got Google Reader set up with several of the blogs and websites I check whenever I think of it. Too cool and I can see how it will save time and keep me up on sites I forget to check for updates!
I chose Google Reader because I already have a Google account and don't want the feed to my already-full email box.
I will not be sharing my Google Reader with my patrons since my list includes blogs of friends.

Week One: Blogging
I'm a K-12 school librarian with a real interest in technology and sharing new tech ideas with my students and colleagues. Money is tight in our school district, as in everyone else's, so this 23 Things Kansas is a wonderful opportunity to learn without the expense of attending a workshop and having to miss school (and prepare those blasted sub notes!)
Getting started in this blog thing!
This is my first assignment for 23 Things Kansas -- creating a blog. Erin is making it pretty easy with her step-by-step video tutorial!
